Business Description
Peter Matthew Koplos is originally from Houston, TX. Dr. Koplos is a graduate from Texas A&M university class of 1992. He moved to El Paso in 1997 to pursue a full time career in Emergency Medicine at the El Paso Animal Emergency Center. He has been a member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care society for many years. In addition to his regular work at the AEC, Dr. Koplos works closely with the El Paso Zoo as a contract veterinarian. An avid aquarium hobbyist, one of his favorite activities includes maintaining and expanding the 550 gallon Coral Reef aquarium located in the clinic's waiting room. Other interests include reptiles and he maintains a collection of large tortoises, some of which he has had for over a decade. Fly fishing, and native plant horticulture and gardening are other avocations. He currently resides in El Paso, TX with his wife and three children and an ever changing menagerie of pets.
