Our story begins before we were born, when our grandfather, Andrew S. Knapp, a St. Louis Entrepreneur, fell in love with a country retreat. He and our father, Robert, who had an enormous love of the land and raised pure bred Hereford beef cattle. Cyndy and Steffie were commonly seen as small girls at the large cattle shows, photographed with the prize winning bulls and heifers. The farm was the center of our lives. After inheriting the farm in the 80's we began renovations to houses and other buildings and finally decided to plant the Vineyard in 2008, the winery in 2010 and brewery in 2016. We are hands on as Cyndy is the Winemaker with the support of her husband Girard and Steffie and her husband Stephen manage the vineyards. Everyone can be found working in the Tasting Room or Pavilion sharing our passion and love of our farm with guests!
Edg-Clif Vineyard, Winery and Brewery is a family owned country wedding venue in a vintage farm setting. The vineyards are perched on rolling hills above the Fourche a Renault River Valley. We offer tours, Estate bottled wine and craft beer tastings, private party/wedding venue and have three renovated cottages to rent. We are open Fri 2-7pm, Sat-Sun 11-5pm, Holiday Mondays or by appointment, contact us to make or reservation or for group reservations.
