Business Description
As a mediocre piano player in my mid 20s, I got inspired to pursue the trade of piano technology when something broke inside my family's home piano in the midst of playing it. Curiously enough, I removed the cabinet parts to see what it was. I noticed a small wooden piece laying on the end of the keys and saw where it detached from. An attempted repair was made using any tools I could obtain from my father's garage, but instead it made matters worse. I then had to confess to my parents about what happened.
A week later, my disappointed parents contacted the local piano tuner to come over and replace the part. I watched him closely and thought I could do this one day. I've always enjoyed working with my hands, and thought what could be better than servicing the instrument I love to play!?
In 2008, I joined the Piano Technician's Guild and pursued my career as a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) after completing all the rigorous exams. It has been an enjoyable career for me!
