Douglas Albert grew up outside of Scranton Pa. Since he was a child he always loved and did art. In high school he was the art editor of his yearbook. While a student at Penn State he majored in art In 1970. while still a student Doug opened an art supply store, Uncle Eli's, which also sold posters, frames, cards and gifts and eventually fine prints. In 1981 Doug moved the original art out and opened up his gallery.
Douglas Albert Gallery, since 1981, specializes in high quality original art, signed and number works on paper, designer jewelry, hand blown glass, fine American made crafts and unusual decorative accessories.
