Business Description
Carlos Cortez is the owner / operator of Cortez Transportation Company, Inc. Carlos opened Cortez Transportation Company, Inc. in 2004 and has grown the fleet to 14 vehicles in 19 years of business.
Mr. Cortez was awarded a Topeka Police Department Challenge Coin in 2014, MANA de Topeka honored him with their Economic Development award in 2016 and most recently, in 2023 Kansas Department of Commerce awarded him the Service Industry Firm Business of the Year. He graduated from Shawnee Heights High School and attended Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Mr. Cortez is passionate about providing professional and reliable transportation services and is a great advocate for catholic education in the Topeka area through his annual sponsorships and donations to nearly every catholic parish and school in Shawnee County as well as numerous other charitable organizations and events in Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri.
