Business Description
Rachel and Doug started Confederate Trails of Gettysburg after returning from several tours overseas with the Army. Horseback riding was something they had always done as a family, spending many hours on the trails here at Gettysburg. When looking at the future, they wanted to bring their love of horses and Gettysburg to the people; Confederate Trails was born. Realizing not everyone wanted to ride a horse while touring the battlefield, they decided to incorporate Horse Drawn Carriages in to the business, opening Victorian Carriage Company the following year. Rachel is still active Military, just recently being promoted to Lt. Col as a Flight Nurse in the Air-force. Their children and extended family are all active in the day to day operations of both businesses, branded together as Horse Tours of Gettysburg.
