Business Description
Having always enjoyed cooking and baking for friends and family, Chef, owner and operator, Lauren Sarabia launched a personal chef service in Humboldt County some 25 years ago. Meals were prepared for busy individuals and families on a weekly basis. After a few years the opportunity to create larger menus and parties took hold and Comfort of Home Catering was born. Since that time we have prepared parties with a variety of international food themes and scale. Lauren is a founding member of the North Coast non-profit, Locally Delicious and is a strong supporter of cooking locally and seasonally in order to get the best products available without creating too big of a carbon footprint. Locally Delicious has produced two cookbooks; Locally Delicious and LunchBox Envy. Both books are available throughout the north coast and on the Locally-Delicious website. Lauren was responsible for many of the delicious recipes and photographs in both books.
