Business Description
Wes is a builder with a love for the arts. He started working in the clear shed at Modesto Lumber when he was 17, and has been working with his hands ever since. Understanding the living art that is home-building with it's ever-changing interdependent systems has been his focus, interwoven with teaching and community building. Wes established Caliber Construction in 2006 to elevate his craft and produce durable works of beauty that add true value to a property. In 2015 Derek Sowers, a long-time friend and trade associate, brought his exceptional building skills to the company and together specialized in the structural phase of the build, as Caliber Structural Inc. Derek is known throughout the bay area building community as a driving force in high quality production. Together they manage difficult and complex projects to fruition.
