Calvin Gaskin is the owner of Cali+King+Films, a video production company based out of the San Francisco Bay Area. Born in Oakland California, on November 1, 1983, into extreme poverty and the youngest of eight children, Calvin overcame the barriers of circumstance, never allowing his creative expression to be hindered. He has traveled all over the world fighting poverty, the rights of those less fortunate, all the while capturing his journey via lens. He and team traveled to Haiti to film the construction of schools and medical clinics.They also traveled to Thailand to go undercover and film promotional videos for a non-profit which helps prevent the selling of underaged children who are victims of the sex trade. As a result, Calvin considers himself to be not only a video producer and filmmaker but a philanthropist.
