Buckley's Tavern, located in the heart of historic Wilmington, Delaware, is a neighborhood tavern and restaurant that has been serving happy customers since 1951. Under new management since 2012, Buckley's Tavern has made improvements to better serve its patrons.
The house where Buckley's Tavern stands today dates back to 1817 when it was originally built as a private residence. At that time, there was a blacksmith shop where the parking lot is now located, and Kennett Pike was just a dirt road. Buckley's Tavern has become a classic neighborhood favorite, serving delicious food and warm hospitality to its guests.
Tom, the proud owner and chef of Buckley's Tavern, and his staff do whatever they can to exceed customer expectations and provide a truly personal experience. Buckley's Tavern is open seven days a week to serve favorites all day and into the night. On Sundays, they serve their famous family-style pajama brunch, where patrons are encouraged to come in their pajamas and get brunch for half off from 10 am to 2 pm!
Buckley's Tavern's signature dishes include the Buckley Burger, wild mushroom soup, Thai noodle soup, organically-raised roast chicken, seafood dishes from scallops to salmon, steaks, pork and lamb chop, salads made from ingredients sourced from local farms, and desserts created by their in-house pastry chef. From the drinks to the dessert, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu!
The atmosphere at Buckley's Tavern is both classy and casual, attracting a diverse clientele. Whether it's lunch or dinner, Buckley's is great! Food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch, making it a must-go place.
