Business Description
James Poff, a Roanoke native, grew up swinging from trees like a monkey and has 10 years of experience removing and trimming his old friends. James is also an experienced welder, doing repairs and fabrication for many clients, and he welds artistically, too. His vision for Brown Hound Tree Service is three fold: to save people money; to make people happy; and to convey to his clients that he respects their trees as dear old friends who deserve a way to be remembered when removed. As such, his plans include opening a shop to sell goods made from the trees which are taken down, while offering each client the option to purchase a handmade item made from their tree. James is building a list of artists, woodworkers, and others who may be interested in re-purposing the trees that come down.
