Business Description
Dawn has more than 20 years of nonprofit experience and is the Executive Director of Botanica.
Previously, she served as the Director of Operations for the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at The University of Texas in Austin, Texas. Before joining the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Dawn managed special events at the Blanton Museum of Art and served as Director of Development at the Arc of the Capital Area. She founded ARTiculation, a collective for artists to network and share resources, and was an adjunct assistant professor of Art History at Austin Community College.
Dawn holds a master’s degree from Texas Christian University in Art History with a focus on museum studies and a certificate in women and gender studies. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Art History, with honors, from The University of Texas at Austin.
