Welcome to the Blackberry River Inn, a charming Bed & Breakfast located in the rolling foothills of Southern Berkshires in Norfolk, Connecticut. Originally constructed in 1763, this historic landmark has been lovingly restored and is now a perfect blend of historic charm and modern amenities.

The Inn offers comfortable accommodations in the main house, the Carriage House and The Cottage. Guests can enjoy a countryside location, free WIFI, and wonderful organic breakfasts included. The Inn is conveniently located close to a variety of music venues, Lime Rock Park race track facilities, good restaurants, and lots of outdoor activities. In addition, the Inn is well located to several private schools in this region.

The Blackberry River Inn is owned by the same family for over 20 years and provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all its guests. Once a private residence, then a farm, and decades ago converted to an Inn, the Inn is now a Bed & Breakfast.

The historic landmark was restored in the 1920s according to designs of architect Alfredo S.G. Taylor, and/or his New York firm Taylor & Levi. Taylor designed a large number of works in Norfolk, Connecticut. Seth H. Moseley, who also owned the Collingwood Hotel in New York, was the owner of the property until his death on Dec 7, 1938. Up until 1939, the property was used as a farm and known as Blackberry River Farm. After the death of Mr. Moseley, Dorothea and James Schwarzhaupt bought the property and transformed it into an Inn.
