Growing up with humble beginnings on the west end of Birmingham, Phillip worked side jobs to put himself through college. He graduated from University of Alabama in 1973 with B.A. in sociology. His career in special education wasn't meeting the needs of his young family. Seeing a growing need for a chimney professional in the area, Batts' Chimney Services was incorporated in 1978, the year of his daughters birth. He has worked hard ever since to meet the needs of his family and his customers.His sons and daughters have all become integral parts of the company, they are dedicated to doing the best work for the fairest price and always keeping their customers safe and happy.
