Business Description
I was raised in Dayton and have always appreciated the history of the city’s ingenuity. My career as a professor of philosophy took my family to Chicago for a decade before we decided it was time to return home. In 2019, I moved my wife and 3 boys home to Dayton to start Artifact Mfg. During my free time as a professor, I traveled the US taking courses in artisan concrete and had opportunities to apprentice with the best artisans in Nashville and Toronto. As a contrast to philosophy, in which one creates thoughts and theories, I liked the process of hand crafting concrete into beautiful pieces of permanence for people to enjoy and make memories around.
We are a small, family run business and we look forward to getting to know our clients and working with you to create pieces to meet your needs and exceed your hopes.
