The Stoner family has been farming on this land since 1928, and in 2005, they began renovating the farm for a processing plant and store, which opened the following year. Larry Stoner, the owner of Apple Valley Creamery, grew up on the farm and attended college where he earned a degree in Computer Science and Business. After graduation, he and his wife Sharon worked in Lancaster County for a year before returning to East Berlin in 1989. They farmed with Larry's father through the 1990s before starting AVC in 2005. They were later joined by Don and Cindy Everett who worked alongside the Stoners for 11 years to develop AVC. Today, Larry and Sharon are the sole owners of the thriving business.
