Giftly Fees: What You Pay

Okay, so great, you’re interested in sending a Giftly, but how much does it cost? Here's the simplest version: you pay the gift value plus a purchase fee. Both appear at checkout before your order is placed. Your recipient gets the full gift value; nothing is taken out on their end, ever.

That's the short version. Here's how it works.

How Giftly pricing works

Giftly charges a purchase fee when you buy a gift. This fee is based on the gift amount and the delivery method you select. The larger the gift amount, the larger the purchase fee. Delivery via mail costs more. All fees will be shown to you before you place your order.

The process works like this:

Choose the gift value. Giftly gifts can range from $5 to $1,000.

Choose a delivery method. Email and text delivery have no additional fees. Physical mail adds a separate fee for printing, fulfillment, and postage.

Review your total. Before you confirm, you'll see the gift value and all applicable fees laid out clearly.

Your recipient redeems. Giftly doesn't charge your recipient an additional fee to redeem the gift itself.

Why are there fees?

The purchase fee covers the costs associated with creating, processing, and delivering your gift. This includes payment processing, securely safeguarding funds through our partner bank, and providing flexible redemption options. Because of this, recipients always receive the full value of their gift, whether deposited to a bank account or loaded onto a prepaid Visa or Mastercard gift card.

Do Giftly gifts expire?

No. Giftly Prepaid Gifts don't expire, and there are no inactivity fees. Your recipient can redeem the day they get it or a year later; the value stays the same.

One thing worth knowing: if your recipient chooses a physical or virtual prepaid gift card during redemption, that card has its own cardholder agreement with a valid-thru date. The funds on the card don’t expire, but they may need a replacement card once the card itself expires.

Can you get a refund?

If the gift hasn't been redeemed, you can cancel within 90 days of purchase. The gift value plus purchase fees will be returned to your original payment method; shipping and handling costs for gifts that are sent by mail are not refundable. Purchase fees and mail delivery fees may not be refunded.

Once a gift has been redeemed, it's no longer eligible for cancellation. The Giftly Prepaid Gift Agreement has the full terms.

Frequently asked questions

Does Giftly charge a purchase fee?

Yes. A purchase fee is charged to the sender at checkout. It's based on the gift amount and delivery method, and it's displayed before you confirm.

Does my recipient get the full gift value?

Yes. The purchase fee is separate. Giftly doesn't charge the recipient to redeem the gift itself, regardless of which redemption method they select.

Does the delivery method affect the price?

It can. Email and text delivery have lower fees than physical mail, which includes printing, fulfillment, and postage. Standard carrier rates may also apply if you send by text.

Are there expiration or inactivity fees?

No. Giftly Prepaid Gifts don't expire, and there are no inactivity or dormancy fees.

Where can I confirm my exact total?

At checkout, before you submit. Because fees are based on the amount and the delivery details of the gifts in your order, the checkout screen is the most accurate number for your specific gift and delivery selection. Giftly pricing is two separate amounts: the gift value your recipient receives and the fee you pay as the sender. Both are visible before you confirm. No expiration, no idle fees, no surprises.
